The Peter Westall Novice Cup took place in ideal weather conditions at the Monkstone PC with fourteen novice teams competiting for the title, which included four junior players.

There was a good mix of players representing the following petanque clubs Caerleon RFC PC, Cardiff Harlequins PC, City of Llandaff PC, Greenlawns Boule Club, Monkstone PC and Mumbles Community Petanque.

A fun and relaxed competition was the name of today’s competition with the Smith’s in attendance to assist when required. The spectators watching from the side added to making the atmosphere lots of fun with a slice of tension mixed in.

After the three matches teams were ranked as detailed below.
